. Powers and Duties of the Administration<\/a><\/p>\n

The
Administration shall have the powers and duties to;<\/p>\n

1\/ <\/b>implements the power and duties provided under the proclamation;<\/p>\n

2\/ <\/b>establish transparent, effective and accountable system, monitor and control
the implementation of private Organization Employees\u2019 pension scheme;<\/p>\n

\u00a03\/<\/b>\u00a0 when necessary undertake studies on private
Organization Employees\u2019 pension scheme and fund Administration system and make
amendment accordingly;<\/p>\n

4\/ <\/b>in order to implement private organizations employees\u2019 pension scheme, organize
modern data handling system; modernize working system;<\/p>\n

5\/ <\/b>collect and organize in advance appropriate evidentiary documents for pension
benefit entitlement of private organization employees;<\/p>\n

6\/ <\/b>establish a system for the collection of private organization employee\u2019 pension
contributions, Collect contributions, ensure the pension contributions
collected by the revenue collection bodies in the appropriate time and amount,
supervise and control the implementation of the system by private
organizations;<\/p>\n

7\/ <\/b>determine the adequacy and validity of the evidentiary data\u2019s provided for
pension benefit entitlement of the private organization employees\u2019, types and
amounts of benefits, and effect payments, give decisions for the petitions and
claims of pension rights and benefits of private organization employees;<\/p>\n

8\/ <\/b>pursuant to Article 14 of the proclamation, prepare private organizations employees\u2019
pension fund investment strategies, undertake \u00a0studies on sustainable and reliable investment
sectors and portfolio mix and implement accordingly;<\/p>\n

9\/ <\/b>follow-up and oversee pension fund revenue and expenditures, undertake
actuarial study to ensure sustainability and reliability of the pension fund
and prepare long term and short term financial projection;<\/p>\n

10\/ <\/b>administer private organizations\u2019 employees\u2019 pension funds and assets related
thereto;<\/p>\n

11\/ <\/b>based on the overall macro- economy of the country and the pension fund status
conducts study for pension benefit and amount adjustment and submit to the
Board according to Article 45 of the proclamation and implement the same upon
approval;<\/p>\n

12\/ <\/b>submit policy issues related to private organizations employee\u2019s pension scheme
and fund to the National bank of Ethiopia; consult the government on the
extension of social security coverage;<\/p>\n

13\/ <\/b>ensure the sustainability and reliability of the pension fund;<\/p>\n

14\/ <\/b>decide the administration organizational structure, employee\u2019s salary scale,
allowance and different fringe benefits, and enact recruitment, promotion,
transfer, redeployment, ethics and other administrative Directives.<\/p>\n

15\/ <\/b>issue Directives for the implementation of the proclamation and this
Regulation;<\/p>\n

16\/ <\/b>own property, enter into contracts, sue and be sued in its own name;<\/p>\n

17\/ <\/b>carry out such other activities under its power and duty as may be necessary
